EO Charging: An EV Charging Manufacturer

An EV Charging Manufacturer That Has Design, Performance And Price As The Cornerstones Of Product Development And Manufacturing

e-zoomed Is Proud To Welcome EO Charging As A Partner For Our EV Charging e-Store

I vividly recall my first meeting with Charlie Jardine, the founder and CEO of the fast growing charging infrastructure company, EO charging (EO stands for ‘Electricity Online’).

For some reason, I was expecting to meet an archetypal ‘geeky’ middle-aged engineer, with an enthusiasm to use terminology that would require a PhD in electric engineering to comprehend.

To my utter and pleasant surprise, Charlie was nothing like my expectations.  He certainly looks nothing like a stereotypical engineer. And nor was he overly keen to impress me with complex jargon.  In fact, to a large extent, his body language was ‘quiet confidence’.

And this is the point. It is because Charlie does not fit the quintessential ‘engineer profile’, has he been able to challenge, think outside the box and create an electric vehicle design and charging company, that has materially raised the benchmark of EV charging design, performance and costs. In due course, EV history will recognise Charlie Jardine and EO charging as ‘avant-garde’.

EO charging was set up by Charlie in 2015, after having worked with another charging infrastructure manufacturer in the UK.  Charlie, identified an opportunity to create electric vehicle charging products that were better quality and more reliable than incumbent manufacturers in the market.

With ‘simplicity and reliability’ as core themes in the concept DNA, Charlie has successfully navigated EO from an ‘idea’ to an established ‘EV charging manufacturer and smart software’ company.

Charlie and the EO team have done well to challenge the incumbent manufacturers on EV charging design, reliability and price.  Engineering products like electric vehicle charging points, also need to be designed in a manner that is sympathetic to the customers expectations and environment. EO was quick to seize the opportunity to ‘raise the bar’ on electric vehicle charging points and this has certainly also fuelled their success.

To date, the company has manufactured over 10,000 electric vehicle chargers and operates across 30 countries, to include Norway, Thailand, Australia and the United Kingdom.
