A Few Of The e-zoomed Social Media Postings Over The Past Week!

We are aware that you all have busy lives and may not get an opportunity to see all our social media postings across the e-zoomed official social media channels (Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin). So we are making it easier for you to catch up with anything you may have missed. Of course, if you are not following our channels, we encourage you to do so. It takes only a minute and the social media links are on the e-zoomed home page!

It has certainly been another challenging and unprecedented week, with the continued increase in infections and deaths related to the ongoing coronavirus predicament. We are grateful and proud of the various institutions and companies that are taking leadership in this moment of crisis. Of course, above all, we are most proud and immensely grateful for the continued efforts of each and every staff member of the NHS. We are also proud of the efforts of Tesla Inc and MG Motors to offer assistance in this time of need.

On a more positive note, the ‘live’ generation data from the National Grid has lifted our spirits, with renewable energy continuing to contribute very meaningfully to the UK energy mix. In fact, on more than one occasion over the past week, the contribution from green energy has crossed over 50%.

Despite the ongoing crisis we continue to proactively identify learnings, so that, we can improve our quality and standard of living. We continue to labour the importance of reducing air pollution, in particular in city centres. For many of us, this is our first time in decades to get a sense of what our cities could become with less traffic congestion and lower air pollution. We hope that the commitment to reducing tailpipe emissions in major cities in the UK are not derailed due to Covid -19. Leeds City Council has announced its intention to delay the implementation of its Clean Air Zone (CAZ). In any case we continue to hope for the best!
